Blackhawk oil – Hoodoo oil

$7.60

To those who incorporate Native American influences in their Southern conjure practice, call upon the spirit of Blackhawk. Blackhawk was a band leader and warrior of the Sauk American Indian tribe. Although he had inherited an important historic sacred bundle from his father, he was not a hereditary civil chief. Black Hawk earned his status as a war chief or captain by his actions: leading raiding and war parties as a young man, and a band of Sauk warriors during the Black Hawk War of 1832.

In New Orleans, the Spiritualist movement introduced Blackhawk to hoodoo and spiritualism. Practitioners now call upon him because he was known as a fierce warrior, and ask his Spirit to help them with protection against enemies, both on a physical and psychic level.
