Herbal Baths

Spiritual baths are a mainstay in the Hoodoo tradition and are used for cleansing, blessing, and uncrossing – just to name a few conditions. A variety of products can be used to cleanse using herbs, spiritual waters, and washes. Spiritual baths were performed by an experienced practioner, usually with the client standing in a washtub. The appropriate herbs were steeped in water and the client was bathed to removed all negative influences.

Herbal baths are brewed for many purposes where you take a spiritual bath and save a bit of bathwater to throw towards the sunrise (to being something new into your life) or to the sunset (to take something out of your life.)

7 Herb Bath

7 Herb Bath is an old hoodoo formula that is said to be for drawing in good luck and money and helping improve finances. You can either steep the herbs directly in the bath water or brew a strong tea on the stovetop and pour into the bath water.

The tea made from the herbal blend can also be used to clean areas where luck and money drawing are needed, such as the front porch of business, a cash register, etc.

While many hoodoo recipes are different, they all contain a total of 7 herbs, flowers, roots to create the 7 bath blend. While I can’t give away my recipe by telling you all 7 ingredients, I reveal some: contains – red clover, rose petals, violet leaf, calendula, chamomile, and others herbs.Enough for two baths.

9 Herb Bath

9 Herb Bath is a hoodoo formula that is said to be for empowerment, clarity, wisdom, and control. You can either steep the herbs directly in the bath water or brew a strong tea on the stovetop and pour into the bath water.

Bath with for confidence when needing to make an important decision or bath in the night before a speech, test, or other events that test your will power and the need for clarity.

While many hoodoo recipes are different, they all contain a total of 9 herbs, flowers, roots to create the 9 bath blend. While I can’t give away my recipe by telling you all 9 ingredients, I reveal some: contains – marjoram, violet leaf, lavender buds, chamomile, chewing john, agrimony, and others herbs. Enough for two baths.

13 Herb Bath

13 Herb Bath is an old hoodoo formula that is said to be for removing hexes, jinxes, and washing away negativity. You can either steep the herbs directly in the bath water or brew a strong tea on the stovetop and pour into the bath water.

Traditional unhexing bath consists of placing a white candle on either side of the bath tub, place herbal mixture into tub, and step through the light of the candles to spiritually bathe. Take an empty bowl into the bathroom with you and gather a bowl of your bathwater before releasing water down the drain. Take the bath water outside and throw to the direction of the sunset. Sunset is to remove something from you, the direction of the sunrise is for when you want something to come into your life.
